I’m Hope and I’m currently studying for my A-Levels. Life can be pretty stressful at the moment, so it’s super important for me that I learn to take care of my skin…on a budget! Here are my top 5 drugstore skincare products which keep my skin soft, glowing and hydrated.

1. Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser: lasts for months, keeps your skin smooth

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser costs £8.99 for a 236ml bottle; it is a non-irritating cleanser that helps to remove dirt and impurities whilst matching the pH value of your skin. I love this product because it leaves my skin incredibly smooth and is gentle enough to use daily. Whilst 236ml isn’t a particularly large bottle it seems to last for months before running out. Over the years this cleanser has been highly recommended by many dermatologists and celebrities such as actresses Olivia Wilde, Charlize Theron and Claire Danes.

2. Superdrug Vitamin E SPF 15 Moisturizing Day Cream: gives you a glow, and you never waste a drop

Superdrug Vitamin E SPF 15 Moisturizing Day Cream has been my favourite moisturizer for about a year now. I use it every morning and I have never considered changing to any other product, since I began using it. Priced at only £3.49! This moisturizer has completely transformed my skin. It is packed with antioxidants and vitamin E as well as vitamins A, B, F & H. This all helps to combat dry skin whilst keeping my face hydrated and glowing all day. In addition, I like how it is in a tub as there is no wastage as you can get every last drop out – unlike in a tube!

3. Superdrug Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream: super moisturizing and non-greasy

I apply my Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream every night just for before bed, as it is a night cream and quite thick. However, it soaks in quick and is non-greasy. This night cream is designed for 24-hour moisturization for normal to dry skin. Which it certainly does! I never wake up with my face feeling dry and tight. This night cream works in perfect combination with the Superdrug day cream.

4. St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Face Scrub: 100% natural spot control

St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Face Scrub gently exfoliates the skin to remove dead skin cells. Squeeze a small amount onto fingertips and massage in circular motions into damp skin, then rinse off. For best results use 3-4 times a week. This scrub is made with 100% walnut shell powder which is completely natural, and it contains salicylic acid which prevents new blackheads forming. I really like this product and I could feel a difference after just one use. It made my face feel so much smoother and look less dull. This scrub costs just £4.49!

5. Dead Sea Collection Himalayan Salt Scrub: deep cleansing for super smooth skin

Dead Sea Collection Himalayan Salt Scrub is an all body exfoliator, comes in a recyclable pot, is completely paraben free and is not tested on animals! It gently removes the top layer of dead skin cells whilst helping to moisturize skin. Personally, I have found the best results when I put the scrub onto dry skin just before I get in the shower. This seems to exfoliate my skin deeper and leaves it feeling even smoother. Unbelievably this product is sold for just £1.99 at Home Bargains! But there are a lot of people selling this product on eBay for about £8 per pot.
